DIY - RAKHI

Rakshabandhan is a special celebration in India, signifying the importance of brother sister relationship. On this day, sisters tie rakhi to their brothers to protect them against all odds and pray for their long life and happiness.

MATERIALS REQUIRED : 

White strings or threads - 3 of same length

Beads and a pendant

STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED :

1) Take the strings and tie a knot at one side.

2) Attach a bead and tie a knot, hence the bead will not move.

3) Plait the strings tightly leaving some thread towards the end. Attach the pendant in the middle of the strand. Then, attach the second bead towards the end. 

4) Apply turmeric colour to the plaited thread. DIY RAKHI is ready for pooja.
