BOOK REVIEW - THE STORM AND A TREE HOUSE

Back again with a review of a kids story book , THE STORM . This is a story about a family building a tree house for their children and friends of them and the effects of a heavy storm . This books will help kids to understand the meaning of storm and how does it affect us . My daughter enjoyed reading this book , wish to build her own tree house and furbish it for her and her friends like the kids in the story . 



When had a wonderful spring break in Manchester last week . But , the weather was not too good for moving with kids around , it was rainy all through the morning and cool winds in the evening . But , as our plan we visted few places inspite of the bad weather . My lil one loves holding umbrella and walk in the rain . She have a craze for patterns in the umbrella and wish to have all the shades . After reading this book ,  she was saying 'Amma ,storm storm !!! , my umbrella is flying !!! Heavy showers !!!!!! Ices all over !!!! ' . Isn't it lovely to hear her words , the impact of good book ?........we really had a fun . Back home , crafted a tree house .



THINGS REQUIRED : 


Tissue holder
Leaf pictures from magazines
Flower Stickers
Building blocks .


STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED :


1) Cut the holder n number of times to strips (show branches) at one end .
2) Fold each strip gently .
3) Glue leaf pictures to it with flowers in it.
4) Build a house with blocks .
5) Tree house is ready to play with .

APPLE BALLOON








STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED : 


Blow a balloon .
Slowly push the tied end into the balloon to touch the other end . 
Then, tightly twist it and tie a string to it . Attach leaves .

The most memorable and lovely moments in my life happened during my delivery of my lovely daughter and a son . When they were given to me by the doctor , minutes after surgery covered in a colourful pink towel for my daughter and a pleasant blue one for my son . I still remember my doctor  
saying ' Here is your lovely daughter ' and 'It's a beautiful boy baby ' . 

2. What are your positive and negative qualities ? Mention at least two.


I feel both my positive and negative quality is easy going with friends and relatives.


3. Who is your idol ? Why ?


I love to follow both my maternal and paternal grandparents . They are so generous , loving , caring and wish to maintain good relationships with everyone in the family .Especially , no personal verdicts or gossips within the family.


4. Given a chance to relive your life, what would you do ?


Wish to live as me , myself more loving and more caring like my grandparents.

I personally feel love brings you everything in life including luck and money.

BUNNY BAND



We had a wonderful easter fun , my daughter coloured her bunny band .

Hair band
 Rubber band

 1) Draw bunny ears outline in paper . Colour them and cut it out .
 2) Attach it to the hair band with rubber band .

BALLOON DUCK

Had a gala time making balloon toys with kids . This is again a enjoyable one .

 1) Blow a balloon . 

 2) Twist it to form a head . 

 3) Attach googly eyes. Stick mouth . Make it and enjoy playing with it.

BALLOON BIRD

Spring holidays are up , we are in our friends place for over a week . With four kids around , rainy weather .....how to engage them?......remembering my childhood days of playing with balloon bird from balloonwala .....we made this bird ...... Kids really enjoyed making and playing with them.....Hope you will definetly  enjoy making it .....

MATERIALS REQUIRED ;

Balloon
Googly eyes
Colour papers

STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED :





1) Blow a balloon , twist it in one portion and tie a ribbon to form a head  .
2) Stick googly eyes.

3) Make origami paper fan and stick as its wings .Attach a beak .
Balloon bird is ready to play .

EASTER BUNNY AND CHICK



Easter is on its way . Let's start our easter crafts !!!!!! We planned to make bunny and chick . We got some googly eyes stickers , but couldn't get the googly eyes  .We waited for a week to get them , but my lil one cant wait . Here comes our lemony bunny and chick .


MATERIALS REQUIRED :


1) Lemons

2) Googly eyes

3) Button for nose

4) Threads for whiskers

5) Coloured magazines for mouth , beak .

6)  Cabbage leaf for bunny ears.

BOOK REVIEW - THE NEW HOUSE AND A COLLAGE .

Hurray !! Spring Break !!!!!! Planned our trips ....... Got few books to have a wonderful time reading and crafting . We read this wonderful book , The New House . The story is about a family moving to their new house . It tells about how they shifted things and arranged their new house . My daughter really enjoyed reading this book and related her experience when we shifted to our new flat . How nice to see her relating the story to her knowledge !!! .


Then , we got into action for our new house collage .

1) My lil one drew shapes to make a house and cut them off from the old magazine.
2) Glue it to a chart/paper.
3) Cut grass pictures/leaf pictures to make tree and lawn.

BOOK REVIEW - PENCIL DRAWING

Books are the best friends . This is my first post on a Book review . I love to read reviews and wished to write on my own . But still am in the learning steps for a writing a review about books.
Our New year celebrations were too hectic , as we were packing stuff for our UK trip ....cleaning up the kitchen ,.....whole house . We didnt get time to present gift ourself . But , then came a surprise from my hubby , after settling down in UK .



This book was gifted by my hubby . What a beautiful and wonderful gift to start a new year !!! . That's really a lovely gift which needs to be treasured .

This book will be definetly loved by all the art lovers . Drawing lessons are absolutely simple and good .

It is a good choice for beginners and kids . My daughter loves to sketch on her own . We started with drawing her picture .


I tried drawing with this flying elephant for my daughter .

ORIGAMI - CUP

Thank you Shruthi for a nice theme of Origami Crafts


We brought her craft book from India . These crafts are from her book . My daughter is so happy , she can send few crafts for the event .



STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED :


1 ) Fold the paper in half .

2) Fold the left and right corners .

3) Fold the upper layer of the triangle forward and lower layer backwards . Crease them firmly .

4) Press gently from the sides and give proper shape to the cup .

5) To it stand , press gently the bottom of the cup . Store ur kids erasers, sharperners , glue etc .

ORIGAMI - RAT

For Shruthi's Origami Challenge.This craft is from my daughter's art  book .





STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED :





1. Make a centre crease firmly.

2. Fold the top and bottom corner up to the centre crease.

3. Fold the right corner inward along the folded line.

4. Now fold in the centre.

5. Make ears and whiskers and glue to it. Attach tail and draw eyes.

HEART STAMPING

Hai all

Got back to normal hectic schedule after a month time of settling down in UK . With very few craft things , we managed to do it for my hubby . He always love homemade crafty cards . My daughter loves stamping colours . We used cabbage leaf for stamping . Cut the leaf in heart shape,paint it and stamp it .
