Holi is a festival celebrated to welcome the ' SPRING SEASON ' in India. Nowadays in all the preschools , they celebrate all the festivals . This help the kids to know about the festivals .
Here is the way , i used to teach my lil one with holi pictures from magazines .
We will be shifting to our new flat by the end of May . So , we are in the 1st phase of cleaning the house . This includes packing up my daughter's and my craft items . While cleaning up my lil one's selves . We got sight of these paper masks which we purchased last year for her school's Earth and Nature's Day celebration . Maintaining these masks , as such will be difficult with her .
We are in need of containers for her crayons , chart paper etc . To get her interest in leaving everything packed after playing , we made these boxes and bags .
THINGS NEEDED :
Animal masks Waste boxes and Paper bags.
STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED :
Glue these masks to the boxes and bags . Use these bags and boxes to keep crayons, colour papers, chart paper , stencils , pens etc .
1) Draw a circle in a plain sheet. 2) Apply glue to it . Then , stick the egg shells to it. 3) Allow it to dry for few hours. 4) Then , paint it with Earth colours. Earth is ready for Earth day activity.
Chart paper / Waste card paper Watercolour Waste comb and toothbrush
STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED :
1) Draw shape in the chart paper . 2) Cut the shapes out of it using penknife. It will look like stencil . 3) Place the shape stencil in a plain page . 4) Take comb and dip the brush in watercolour. Hold the comb tightly and brush the colour in the comb as shown.
5) Once done, remove the stencil . Shapes are coloured easily . 6) Then , mark the shapes with colour pens.
This is the simple way of teaching our kids to know the importance of Earth day . This is my way of teaching my daugther .
Collect pictures relating to Earth Day from magazines and stick it to a note book . Teach them about it .
