OLYMIC TORCH - 4

Oympic fever is running up very high day by day . Here is yet another torch from us to join the race of olympic themed crafting . ....








THINGS REQUIRED : 


Yellow/Orange coloured chart paper.
Glue
Colour pens


STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED :


1) Draw torch and cut it out as shown .





2) Fold it as shown .









3) Glue it as shown .









4) Glue few orange flames too . Open the torch and stuff it up with waste paper .Torch is ready to play with .

CUP PAPER FLOWERS




THINGS REQUIRED :


Cupcake baking paper 
Coloured charts/paper
Buttons
Glue


STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED :


1) Make stem and leaves of coloured paper and glue to a chart .
2) Use cup papers for flowers and glue button to the centre .
3) Draw a garden and glue it to the wall .Linking it up with Colors Dekor , Weekly story ~ 88 .

200 !!!!!!!!!!!!! Hurray !!!!!!!!!! PHOTO FRAME

THINGS REQUIRED :


Coloured craft cardboard / silver coloured cardboard (used to cover packed food on hotels )
Black colour thick craft paper
Smilies and Heart confetti .
Glue


STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED :


1) Glue photo to the cardboard .
2) Cut black craft paper to form outer frame and glue to the photo.
3)Decorate it with confetti.
4) Either laminate it / stick to the wall with bluetak .

PAPER ICE-CREAM

Summer holidays have started . Too bright too sultry !!!! ......Finishing scoops and scoops of ice-cream in seconds !!!!!!.

We got some crafts card stuff from a summer fun fair.......while stacking them down, my daughter said can we cut ice-cream out of it ..Hurray !!! What a colourful 5 yr kid idea !!!! ....Sure , we made it....enjoyed playing with them....one for my daughter and the other for my son........Got them glue with blue tack to the wall !!!

THINGS REQUIRED :

Coloured cards
Glue





STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED :

1) Stack the coloured cards in layers .
2) glue them
3) When dried , cut an yummy ice-cream of it .

PAPER PLATE FISH



Among various playschool craft activites , this fish will be one among the most crafted one .This was done by my daughter in her school . Back home we decorated its fin and glue net to give scales to the fish.

THINGS NEEDED :

Paper plate 
Fruits package netted bags
water colours
Glue

STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED ;

1) Cut a triangle out of the paper plate and staple to the other end to make a fin .
2) Colour it and glue eyes .

EXPLORE AFRICA - PROJECT FOR KIDS

My daughter's summer term concept - Explore Africa . I made this project with simple concepts to make her know few basic concepts about africa . Got few photo prints from net , collected pictures from magazines and taught her about Africa Map and Countries . Their traditional dress , dance , Animals , Tribals . It includes some important places in Africa about Sahara desert (sea of sand ),Victoria falls and Rain forests . African Elephant , largest land animal . We learnt about few folk tales about Pirates of the caribbean . We did few african traditional crafts .

My daughter designed this car . Happy to see her creation and her thoughts . My hubby is fond of automobiles and its design . Like father like daughter !!! Happy Proud father !!! . She made this for Father's Day !!! .

ICE CREAM FOR A FRIEND - MADE WITH LOVE






THINGS REQUIRED : 


Card paper
Cotton
Glue
Felt cloth
Crayon dusts


STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED :


1) Cut out a cone and glue to the card .








2) Glue cotton for ice cream .
3) Place a felt cloth cherry.
4) Spray crayon dust for chocolaty / fruit sparkers.
5) Decorate the cone with brown strips.

STICK ICE CRAFT - 2





THINGS REQUIRED :


Popsicle 
Brown coloured plastic cover
Glue




STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED :








1) Cut a long rectangle strip of the bag/cover
2)Fold the cover to form a smaller rectangle .Taped its edges.
3)Stuff it with remaining transparent cover to give a glossy feel.
4)Glue a stick in the centre.Chocolate stick ice is ready.

COLOURFUL LAYERED ICE-CREAM

THINGS NEEDED :

Coloured plastic bags
Cardboard 
Cotton
Glue


STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED :




1) Make 2 cones out of carboard . One smaller and on bigger.
2) Cut strips of coloured plastic bags . 
3) Glue them to the smaller cone in layers.
4) Open up the smaller cone and stuff it with cotton.
5) Fill some cotton in the bigger and glue the smaller one to it .

CHOCO CHIP CUP ICE-CREAM



THINGS REQUIRED :


Paper cup
Ball
Cotton
Tamarind seeds
Glue

1) Glue cotton to the ball . After it gets dried ,glue tamarind seeds .
2) Place the ball in the cup and glue to it .

STICK ICE CRAFT


The concept of this craft is very simple and same as making of soft toys . I remember my school days of making butterfly of velvet cloth .

THINGS REQUIRED :

 
Popsicle 

Velvet/Felt cloth

Cotton balls

Needle and thread


STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED : 


1) Cut out ice shape out of the cloth . 

2) Turn back the cloth . Stitch its corner and leave a small space in the bottom for popsicle.Then , turn to the front side .

3)Stuff few cottons inside the stitched cloth for a feel of the ice .Then glue stick ans stcich the opened corner.

BEACH : CREATING A COOL SCENE

STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED :


1) Glue blue coloured cover scraps to make a sea .
2) Glue pictures of boys and ball to create a play scene .
3) Glue pictures of Surfers , Kids splashing in the bay and playing in the sand.
4) A picture of a boat and sun coloured by my daughter .
5) Glue cotton wools for clouds .


A Bright beach scene has be re-created .

MAGICAL HAND - NEMO AQUARIUM






Last week , we read the book ' Finding Nemo ' . It was a wonderful read....my daughter enjoyed the story . 




We designed our own Nemo at home . 

THINGS REQUIRED : 

Waste Cardboard 
Blue cover plastic bags
Orange and White colour paper
Glue
Googly eyes
Plant pictures from magazines .
Waste Croissant boxes .

STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED : 

1) Cut the blue bag to long pieces and glue it to the board .



2) Cut out the hand prints and make fish as shown below .




3) Take an empty croissant case . Glue the board in it and tape it sides .







4) Aquarium is ready to play with .

FATHER'S DAY GIFT - COLLAGE


We collected words from magazines to form this collage , a super Father's Day gift to my dear hubby .Isn't it special ?....... My hubby was so surprised to get it from my daughter .

OLYMPIC TORCH - 2

Teaching kids about some important special events like Olympic games , World Book Day , Earth day  can be easily taught through crafts . We crafted this torch to represent olympic games .

MATERIALS REQUIRED : 


Long cup / glass /Vase 

Aluminium/Silver/Golden wrapper

Colurs Red / Orange colour papers

Glue


STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED : 


1) Wrap up the cup with aluminium paper .

2) Draw england flag with oylmpic symbol + year and glue to it .



3) For flames , cut outs red and orange colour paper strips and stuff it in the cup .
Torch is ready to play with .

MY DAUGHTER'S WORK - PAPER CUTTING FAMILY






My daughter's summer term break is up...she enjoyed doing this craft on her own without my help or idea .  Happy to see her thoughts and work . She really surprised us with these cards from her work room .
