MY NATIVE VILLAGE

Hai all ,

I am so impressed by the writings of the fellow bloggers travel experience . It's my long time wait to post about my our experience . I am so happy to start with my native village ,Thattankulam , a wonderful , peaceful place , 25 kms from Madurai , Tamilnadu . It is on the bank of river Vaigai . The journey will take nearly 40 minutes from Madurai . It will be really good to travel along the river , river on one side of the road , villages on the other side .We have our farms over there .  We will have our pongal celebrations everyyear in our grandparents place with whole lots of fun and happiness.
I would like to share few pictures of our village .

This is our lord ganesha temple , where we used to keep pongal .

The idol one on the right is Nandimuga vinayakar , placed by my great grandfather . The face resembles Nandi.

My aunty makes pongal with a pongalo pongal rhythm.......and a chorus humming from all of us.

Vaigai river which flows in our village .

The way to our paddy fields after crossing river Vaigai .

All are playing and enjoying their summer splash in motor pumps canal .

My hubby and uncle played a game to climb the haystack ......both made it very fast .

It is a real fun to have family get together with aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents around . Will meet you again with yet another lovely place .

AWARD:

Vidhya Ganesan has given me this beautiful award . Thank you so much dear .I really happy and excited to have it dear.
